"Furiosa," the latest instalment in the 'Mad Max' saga, hosted its Canadian premiere in Toronto on Monday with Oscar-winning director George Miller walking the black carpet.

The film is the fifth in the post-apocalyptic franchise that began with Miller and a fresh-faced Mel Gibson in 1979.

"Furiosa" hits theatres on May 24.
