A right-wing coalition led by Giorgia Meloni’s Brothers of Italy party has emerged victorious in the country’s general election.
The coalition is projected to take a majority of seats in parliament - making her the most likely candidate to lead the country.
As Meloni ran on a ticket of putting Italians first and staunch anti-immigration policies during her election campaign, many are worried about what her leadership could mean for Italians and its reverberations worldwide.
