At least 15 people were killed when a freight train plowed into the rear of a passenger train in West Bengal on Monday. Dozens more were injured.

India’s federal railways minister, Ashwini Vaishnaw, visited the site and met with passengers who survived.

Three cars were driven off the rails when the goods train smashed into the Kanchanjunga Express travelling to Kolkata, the capital of West Bengal.

It was not immediately clear how many passengers were on board at the time.
