France is on its highest security alert after a suspected terrorist attack at Notre Dame Basilica in Nice on Thursday.

A man armed with a knife killed three people before being captured by police, and French President Emmanuel Macron has said he would deploy thousands more soldiers to protect important French sites, such as places of worship and schools.

As Crystal Goomansingh reports, the attack came at a time of heightened tension between France and the Muslim world.
