French authorities on the Indian Ocean island of Mayotte, part of the Comoros archipelago, have begun demolishing homes in an operation they say is aimed at sub-standard housing and illegal migration. But locals say it is leaving them homeless.
Hundreds of security forces have been deployed since the campaign started in April.
