France’s far right leads in first round of elections, exit polls show

France's far-right has emerged with its best electoral performance in the post-World War II era, winning the first round of the parliamentary vote.
National Rally leader Marine Le Pen has urged voters to give her party an absolute majority, in the second round of voting, in a week's time.
