Former Quebec junior hockey players accused of group sexual assault

Two young men, one a former member of the Drummondville Voltigeurs junior hockey team in Quebec, have pleaded guilty to sexually assaulting a 15-year-old girl in 2016 and another former teammate faces a sexual assault charge stemming from the same incident. The league and team say they were unaware of the allegations. The news came as the Commons heritage committee heard testimony from former Supreme Court justice Thomas Cromwell on Hockey Canada’s governance.
