Forgeries of some of Canada’s famous ‘Group of Seven’ works are the focus of a unique exhibit in the Vancouver Art Gallery after it was revealed that the ten oil paintings acquired and showcased by the institution were actually fakes.
Despite sitting in the gallery since 2015, after their authenticity began to be questioned regularly, a recent in-depth investigation revealed it was impossible they could be legitimate.
