Millions of Floridians are fleeing their homes or filling up on sandbags before Hurricane Ian arrives. The arrival of Hurricane Ian includes a potentially dangerous storm surge.
About 2.5 million people living in the southern state are now under an evacuation order there. With storm surges expected to be three to four meters high, those living near the coast are being told to get to higher ground.
Jackson Proskow reports from Tampa on the preparation, the troubling conditions expected and the warnings to those who choose not to leave.
