Flood warnings remain as yellow cold weather alert issued in England

Almost 250 flood warnings remain in place across England and Wales as conditions continue to cause travel problems across large parts of the country.

Meanwhile, a yellow cold weather alert has been issued for the vulnerable and elderly in England until 12 January.
