A firefighter from the city of Leduc in Alberta resigned in front of the city council on Monday, where she delivered a passionate, poignant and scathing speech. She stood up and offered her resignation over harassment allegations she and at least two other female firefighters have publicly made.

Megan Wright said that over her time with Leduc Fire Services, she brought her allegations of sexual misconduct to superiors. She said those complaints were not realized. Her resignation also comes on the heels of a lawsuit filed against the city by two other firefighters.

Breanna Karstens-Smith reports on what the mayor and former councilors are saying and how Wright is promising to make sure the city does make changes.
