The Leader of the Opposition Sir Keir Starmer says the Prime Minister should have followed ex-Health Secretary Matt Hancock and former advisor Allegra Stratton's example by resigning after they admitted to breaking COVID rules.

In return, Boris Johnson accused Labour of 'intellectual bankruptcy', and of failing to have a plan to help the British public.

But Sir Keir said "the party of Peel and Churchill [is] reduced to shouting and screaming in defence of this law breaker".
