Fauci boss in BIZZARE and cringeworthy Covid sing-song

The doctor might have ordered this, but no one else did.

Outgoing US National Institutes of Health Director Dr. Francis Collins has prompted a round of communal online cringe after a video emerged of him singing a Covid-themed cover of ‘Somewhere Over The Rainbow.’

The performance took place at a farewell event for Collins, who is stepping down as NIH director and Anthony Fauci’s boss after over a decade, and was so strange that people began to wonder if it was a computer-generated deepfake. However, fact-checkers confirmed that the video was real, and Collins has previous form – another video shows him covering ‘Puff the Magic Dragon’ with his own Covid-themed lyrics.

Clearly, he saw those celebrities butchering John Lennon’s ‘Imagine’ and thought “Yes, we need more of that.” Wonder if he could get us some medical-grade earplugs?
