Families seek answers after 21 teens likely killed by unknown substance at South Africa nightclub

Relatives of 21 teens who died inside an east coast South Africa tavern over the weekend said on Monday that they are seeking justice after authorities said the victims were probably killed by an unknown substance they ate, drank or smoked.

The still unexplained deaths of the teens at the nightclub, some of whom were celebrating the end of school exams and others a birthday party, have brought an outpouring of grief and shocked the nation.

A prayer service was held in memory of the deceased in the city of East London.

Authorities are expected to produce a toxicology report as part of the investigation.
