Unofficial results of all 212 wards in 42 cantonment boards election across Pakistan have been announced, Dunya News reported.
The polling for the cantonment boards election had started on Sunday at 8:00 am in the morning and concluded at 5:00 p.m. At least 1,560 candidates of various political parties along with independent candidates were contested the election.
According to unofficial results of 212 wards, Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf emerged as winner at 60 seats while Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) secured 59 seats. Independents remained third with 55 seats.
Pakistan People’s Party could secure 17 seats. Muttahida Qaumi Movement-Pakistan (MQM-P) got 10 seats and Jamaat-e-Islami grabbed seven seats. Awami National Party (ANP) and Balochistan Awami Party got two seats each.
PML-N won the Cantonment board election in most cities of Punjab including Lahore and Rawalpindi. The ruling PTI also suffered an upset defeat in Multan. However, PTI emerged as the largest party in Karachi.
PUNJAB
Lahore Cantonment
Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) emerged victorious on six out of 10 seats from Lahore Cantonment. Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf grabbed three seats while one seat was won by Independent candidate.
Walton Cantt
Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) completed a clean sweep in cantonment boards election from Walton Cantt and won nine seats. Election on one seat was postponed due to death of a candidate.
Rawalpindi Cantonment Board
Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) won seven out of nine seat in polls in Rawalpindi Cantonment Board. Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf failed to win a single seat in Rawalpindi Cantonment Board elections. Two seats were won by independent candidates.
Chaklala Cantt
Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) also emerged leading political party from Chaklala Cantt, winning five of the 10 seats. Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf and Jamaat-e-Islami got two seats each while one seat was won by independent candidate.
Wah Cantt
Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) secured eight out of 10 seats in cantonment boards election in Wah Cantt. Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf managed to win on two seats.
Texila
Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) won three seats in Texila while Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf got two seats.
Murree
Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf and Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) won one seat each in cantonment boards election in Murree.
Attock
Independent candidates grabbed both seats in cantonment boards election from Attock.
Sanjwal
Both seats in cantonment boards election from Sanjwal were won by idependent candidates.
Kamra Cantt
Independent candidates emerged victorious in cantonment boards election held on one seat in Camra Cantt.
Multan Cantonment
Ruling Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf suffered an upset defeat and failed to win a single seat in cantonment boards election in Multan. Independent candidates won nine seats while PML-N grabbed one seat.
Sialkot
Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) grabbed three out of five seats in Sialkot. Ruling Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf won two seats.
Gujranwala
Ruling Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf emerged victorious on six out of 10 seats in Gujranwala. Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) got two seats while two seats were won by independent candidates.
Mangla
Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) secured one seat in cantonment boards election in Mangla. One seat was won by independent candidate.
Jhelum
Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf won both the seats in cantonment boards election in Jhelum.

Five seats were won by independent candidates in cantonment boards election in Sargodha. Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf secured three seats while PML-N got two seats.

Independent candidates emerged victorious on four out of five seats in Okara. Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf got one seat.

Faisal Cantonment
Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) emerged victorious at three seats of Faisal Cantonment. Jamaat-e-Islami secured one seat while one seat was won by an independent candidate.
Malir Cantt
Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) won four seats in Malir Cantt. Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) and Jamaat-e-Islami got two seats each while one seat was won by independent.
Karachi Cantt
Muttahida Qaumi Movement-Pakistan (MQM-P) grabbed two seats in cantonment boards election in Karachi Cantt while two seats were won by independent candidats.
Korangi Cantonment
Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) won two out of five seats in cantonment boards election in Korangi Cantonment while PTI, PPP and MQM-P secured one seat each.
Manora Cantonment
Pakistan People’s Party won both the seats in cantonment boards election in Manora Cantonment.
