Extreme weather in U.S., Canada: Elsa batters East Coast as heat wave roasts the west

The results of climate change are playing out across Canada and the U.S. with the East Coast being drenched, while the West Coast bakes under the sun.

Storm Elsa has dumped heavy rain and whipped up high winds along the East Coast, with parts of both Atlantic Canada and the U.S. coastline being impacted.

Meanwhile, people living in the west have been blasted with blistering heat and it's creating difficulties for restaurant owners trying to recover from the COVID-19 pandemic which stifled their business last summer.
