Examining Israel's aim for Hamas' total elimination

For years, assassination has been a key part of Israel's containment approach to Hamas in Gaza. Killing its senior figures when it could, and fencing it and the people of Gaza inside the Strip. But October 7th has changed all that. A much wider and more indiscriminate campaign of destruction has been unleashed on Gaza, perhaps also impacting the Israelis Hamas holds captive.
