The scale of destruction outside the capital Kyiv is becoming clear, as officials in Hostomel say they are discovering new evidence of war crimes, allegedly committed by Russian troops, every day.
Several mass graves have been discovered since Ukrainian authorities regained control of swathes of the Kyiv region that had been under Russian occupation.
Russian forces are now believed to be regrouping in order to intensify efforts to seize areas in Ukraine's east.
