Euro 2024: Spain fans jubilant, England fans gutted after Spanish victory

After scoring a near-last-minute goal against England in the EUFA 2024 tournament in Berlin, Germany on Sunday, Spain have brought home their fourth Euro Cup.

Fans from across Spain — and those in attendance — took to the streets to celebrate the 2-1 victory and a historic moment in sports history.

Among other Spain supporters, Spanish goalkeeper Unai Simon particularly praised the impact “youngsters” Nico Williams and Lamine Yamal had on the national team.

“Both Nico and Lamine have been very important for us during this Euros and not only for what they have done on the pitch, but for what they transmit to the group,” Simon said during a press conference on Monday.

Spain is now tied with Germany for holding the most Euro Cups to date. England, however, is yet to bring one home, after 58 years of efforts.
