Speaking to reporters outside of U.S. Congress on Wednesday for an AI forum, Tesla CEO and tech billionaire Elon Musk said it's "important" to have regulation around artificial intelligence (AI).
He said federal regulators should act as referees for tech companies to take actions to keep the general public safe, when it comes to AI.
Musk also added he believed that Congress is "not yet" ready to regulate AI.
