Karnataka's ruling BJP has comfortably won both the seats where bypolls were held on November 3. Congress turncoat Munirathna, whose crossover the state's ruling party necessitated the elections, won Bengaluru's Rajarajeshwari Nagar (RR Nagar) constituency by a margin of more than 57,000 votes. The Sira constituency was won by BJP's Dr Rajesh Gowda with a margin of more than 13,000 votes. These polls had no bearing on the stability of the BS Yediyurappa government, which enjoys a comfortable majority.
