Eclipse visitors pull all-nighter to leave popular viewing areas

Monday's solar eclipse may have made many Americans’ days a little brighter, but the traffic home made some travelers’ evenings a little gloomier.

In New Hampshire, many travelers were stuck in bumper-to-bumper traffic in the northern part of the state through at least 2 a.m. Tuesday.

Post-eclipse traffic also moved very slowly in places like Interstate 65 in southern Indiana and along southbound Interstate 81 in New York and Pennsylvania.
