Earthquake interrupts Croatian mayor's press conference

2020 just won’t go quietly into the night and is finding every possible way to make sure we never forget it.
A 6.4 magnitude earthquake rocked the town of Petrinja just as its mayor was holding a press conference.
‘This morning we were hit by the third, if not the fourth earthquake,’ the mayor of Petrinja, Darinko Dumbovic told state television. ‘Everything that has not yet fallen is falling,’ he added.
Earlier, Dumbovic said that about half the town had been destroyed. Many people are afraid to return to their houses in fear of aftershocks. Reportedly, at least 7 people died during the most recent earthquake, including 2 children. About 200 are sheltered in a military barracks.
