An overcrowded truck has overturned in the southern Mexican state of Chiapas killing at least 53 migrants heading for the United States.
Local officials say more than 100 people were inside the vehicle, in one of the worst accidents in the country in recent years.
At least 53 passengers, many of them migrants and refugees from Central America, were injured.
Some activists say Mexico's crackdown on the migration trail has forced those fleeing their home countries to take more dangerous routes.
Al Jazeera's @Manuel Rapalo reports from Mexico City, Mexico.
