Donald Trump takes the Fifth Amendment during New York deposition

Former U.S. president Donald Trump is heard saying he had ‘absolutely no choice’ but to take the Fifth Amendment, which protects against self-incrimination, during an August 10, 2022, deposition released on Tuesday by the New York State Attorney General's office. Attorney General Letitia James has said her investigation has uncovered significant evidence that the Trump Organization gave banks and tax authorities misleading financial information to obtain benefits.
