Donald Trump has arrived in Milwaukee ahead of the Republican National Convention

Just two days after the assassination attempt on Donald Trump, one of the most important events in an American election year is set to begin.
Trump, who is the presumptive Republican nominee, has arrived in Milwaukee, ahead of the Republican National Convention.
The secret service says security measures are already tight at and around the venue.

Brendan O'Connor is a professor of American Politics at the University of Sydney.
He says the Republican convention will further divisions in the presidential campaign.
