Donald Trump will be allowed back on to Facebook and Instagram, after Meta announced it would be ending its two-year suspension of his accounts.
The then-US president was indefinitely suspended from Meta’s platforms after the Capitol riots in 2021, as his posts were judged to pose a risk to public safety.
Republicans have been pressing for Mr Trump to be allowed back on Facebook as he prepares to run for the US presidency again next year.
But, the former president has an exclusivity agreement with social media platform Truth Social, and there is some suggestion that posting elsewhere could open him up to legal problems.
