भारत का संविधान देश के हर नागरिक को बोलने की स्वतंत्रता का मौलिक अधिकार देता है । बोलने का अधिकार इसलिए है ताकि हम अपने विचारों को बिना डरे सामने रख सकें, लोगों तक अपनी बात पहुंचा सकें । लेकिन यही संविधान हमारी बोलने की आजादी पर अंकुश भी लगाता है । जिससे राष्ट्र की एकता, अखंडता या फिर सुरक्षा को खतरा हो, ऐसी बात बोलने की आजादी संविधान नहीं देता । लेकिन कुछ लोग होते हैं, जो बोलने के संवैधानिक अधिकार को अपना जन्मसिद्ध अधिकार मान लेते हैं । ऐसे लोग भूल जाते हैं कि संविधान में बोलने का अधिकार है, लेकिन कुछ भी बोलने का अधिकार नहीं है । पूर्व बीजेपी नेता नुपुर शर्मा का उदाहरण देश के सामने है, जिनके पैगंबर मोहम्मद पर दिये विवादित बयान के बाद देश में नफरत की जो आग फैली थी, उस आग में हैदराबाद से पेट्रोल छिड़का गया है । आज DNA में इस विवाद का विषलेषण होगा.
