खालिस्तानी समर्थक और भगोड़ा अमृतपाल सिंह, फिलहाल कहां है, ये जानकारी ना पंजाब पुलिस को है, ना ही खुफिया एजेंसियों को। एक ऐसा आदमी जो पिछले कई महीनों से भारत में खालिस्तान के नाम पर सिख युवाओं को भड़का रहा था। जो पिछले कई महीने से आनंदपुर खालिस्तान फोर्स जैसा संगठन बनाकर, फिदायीन तैयार रहा था, वो पंजाब पुलिस के 80 हजार पुलिसकर्मियों को चकमा देकर फरार चल रहा है। पिछले 11 दिनों में अमृतपाल को तलाशने के लिए खुफिया एजेंसिया देश के अलग अलग इलाकों में छापेमारी कर रही हैं। पंजाब पुलिस के जवान पूरे पंजाब में अमृतपाल को तलाश रहे हैं। अब खबर ये आ रही थी कि अमृतपाल सिंह सरेंडर करने वाला है। इस खबर को लेकर पंजाब पुलिस सतर्क हो गई। पूरे पंजाब में इसको लेकर नाकेबंदी कर दी गई। उसका सरेंडर तो नहीं हुआ...अलबत्ता उसका एक वीडियो जरूर सामने आ गया। इस वीडियो में वो पगड़ी में नजर आया, उसने सफेद कपड़े पहने हुए थे। सिखों के धार्मिक पंच ककार में से एक कृपाण भी धारण किया हुआ था। ये वीडियो एक तरह का संदेश जैसा था। इस वीडियो में खालिस्तानी समर्थक भगोड़ा अमृतपाल सिंह, संत बनने की कोशिश कर रहा था। वो लोगों से उसका समर्थन करने की बात कह रहा था।
