This will be Priyanka Gandhi's first election of any kind, which she will contest. These 2 big decisions were taken after a two-hour meeting at the house of Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge.. Only 5 people in the meeting were Congress President Kharge himself, Sonia Gandhi, Rahul Gandhi, Priyanka Gandhi and KC Venugopal.. After the meeting Kharge announced the decision.

कांग्रेस ने आज ऐलान कर दिया कि राहुल गांधी रायबरेली से ही सांसद रहेंगेऔर प्रियंका गांधी वायनाड सीट से लड़कर भी दिखाएंगी और जीतकर भी दिखाएंगी. प्रियंका गांधी का ये किसी भी तरह का पहला चुनाव होगा, जो वो लड़ेंगी। कांग्रेस अध्यक्ष मल्लिकार्जुन खरगे के घर पर दो घंटे की बैठक के बाद ये 2 बड़े फ़ैसले हुए।..बैठक में सिर्फ़ 5 लोग खुद कांग्रेस अध्यक्ष खरगे, सोनिया गांधी, राहुल गांधी, प्रियंका गांधी और केसी वेणुगोपाल थे।..बैठक के बाद खरगे ने फ़ैसले का ऐलान किया.
