राहुल गांधी ने अपनी पार्टी के घोषणा पत्र में और अलग-अलग चुनावी भाषणों में, देश की महिलाओं को हर साल 1 लाख रुपये मुफ्त देने का वादा कर दिया है। देश की कुछ महिलाओँ को हर महीने अपने खाते में करीब साढ़े 8 हजार रुपये महीना आने की उम्मीद है. बेंगलुरू में इन दिनों पोस्ट ऑफिस के बाहर सुबह 4 बजे से ही महिलाओं की लाइनें लगने लगी हैं। ये सारी की सारी महिलाएं अपना खाता खुलवाना चाहती हैं। आपने ध्यान दिया हो तो बुर्केवाली महिलाओँ की संख्या 90 प्रतिशत से ज्यादा है.
