इस्तीफा देने के बाद सबसे बड़े दल NDA की पहली बैठक प्रधानमंत्री आवास पर हुई. इसमें सरकार बनाने से जुड़े फैसले लिये गये. सूत्रों के मुताबिक जल्द ही सरकार बनाने का दावा पेश किया जा सकता है. जेडीयू और TDP की तरफ से नीतीश कुमार और चंद्रबाबू नायडू ने भी अपना समर्थन पत्र सौंप दिया है. आज शाम इंडिया गठबंधन की भी बैठक हुई. ये बैठक कांग्रेस अध्यक्ष मल्लिकार्जुन खडगे के घर पर हुई. उद्धव गुट के नेता संजय राउत ने बड़ा दावा करते हुए कहा जब मौका मिलेगा तब सरकार बनाएंगे.
