गुजरात के वडोदरा से 46 किलोमीटर दूर पावागढ़ में धार्मिक स्थल में हुई तोड़फोड़ पर हंगामा मचा हुआ है। पावागढ़ पर्वत पर पुरानी सीढ़ियों के बगल में 500 वर्ष पुरानी जैन तीर्थंकर नेमिनाथ की प्रतिमा थीं। जिनको हाल ही में हटा दिया गया था। इस कार्रवाई से जैन समाज काफी गुस्से में है। पावागढ़ के महाकाली मंदिर क्षेत्र को विकासित किया जा रहा है। इस शक्तिपीठ की ओर जाने वाले रास्ते पर सीढ़ियों के पास ही ये मूर्तियां थी.
