UNRWA schools across the Gaza Strip are filled with displaced Palestinians hoping for some protection, though they know nowhere is safe. In Deir el-Balah, central Gaza, many families live in overcrowded and unsanitary conditions. Thousands of displaced Palestinians from various areas have set up tents in addition to using classrooms. The lack of basic necessities like soap, water, and mattresses makes life extremely difficult. Israeli forces have targeted many UNRWA schools and shelters, leaving thousands homeless, with numerous casualties and injuries. There's no safe place left in Gaza.

Al Jazeera’s Hind Khoudary reports from a UN school in Deir el-Balah, central Gaza.
