Devendra Fadnavis, a senior BJP leader, compared Maharashtra Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray's Maha Vikas Aghadi (MVA) government to the Babri mosque structure on Sunday, saying he would not rest till the Shiv Sena-led regime was removed from office.
He also stated that the Shiv Sena is not synonymous with Mumbai, Maharashtra, or Hindutva, and that no one can remove Mumbai from the state, but that he wants to rid the city of "corruption and wickedness."
