एक नीजी चैनल को interview देने के दौरान Ukraine के एक मंत्री ने ये कहा कि भारत का रुस से तेल खरीदना नैतिक रुप से एक गलत निर्णय है । क्योंकि पक्ष्चिमि देश एसा कर रहे हैं इसका ये मतलब नहीं की आप भी एसा करें । इसके जवाब में विदेश मंत्री S Jaishankar ने कहा कि "हम अपने देश की तेल कंपनियों से रुस से तेल लेने को नहीं कहते है, हम ये कहते हैं वो सबसे बहतर विकल्प को चुनें, देश के लोगों के हित में निर्णय लेना समक्षदारी है" ।

While giving an interview to a private channel, a minister of Ukraine said that India buying oil from Russia is a morally wrong decision. Just because western countries are doing it doesn't mean that you should also do it. In response to this, External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar said that "we do not ask our country's oil companies to take oil from Russia, we ask them to choose the best option, it is prudent to take decisions in the interest of the people of the country".
