Des Ki Baat- December 04, 2020: Primary school teacher Ranjitsinh Disale, 32, from Paritewadi village in Maharashtra's Solapur district won the $1 million annual Global Teacher Prize 2020 for his efforts to promote girls' education. Mr Disale is also credited for the QR coded textbook revolution in India. The prize was founded by the Varkey Foundation to recognise a teacher who has made outstanding contribution to teaching. Speaking to NDTV, Mr Disale says he conducted parents' awareness programmes to ensure 100 per cent attendance of girls at at the school in his village. (Audio in Hindi)
