Des Ki Baat - March 10, 2021: Two days after a 13-year-old girl was allegedly gang-raped by three men in her village in Uttar Pradesh's Kanpur, her father died this morning in a road accident outside a hospital where the girl was taken for a medical examination. The father of the two accused in the gang-rape case - Deepu Yadav and Saurabh Yadav - works as a sub-inspector with the Uttar Pradesh Police in the state's Kannauj district, about 100 km from Kanpur. While the third accused, Golu Yadav, has been arrested, serious allegations have been levelled by the girl's family against the police. They said the family of the accused has been threatening them since the gangrape case was filed, and that "the police is complicit".
