US president Donald Trump has given an over-the-phone statement to state Senators and at a meeting in Gettysburg, Pennsylvania where he continued to claim that there were 'more votes than voters' in some states.

His statement concluded with his supporters chanting 'Trump' as a committee member said this was 'the most important public hearing ever held.'
