Delhi's Air Quality Worsens, In "Severe" Category

The air quality in Delhi has worsened. The Air Quality Index (AQI) is currently at 456, in the "severe" category, the worst so far this year. The air in the National Capital Region is also in the "severe" category with an AQI of 469 in Gurgaon and 434 in Faridabad. This comes at a time when experts have been saying that air pollution makes one more susceptible to Covid and Delhi's Covid cases have been shooting up. NDTV spoke with cyclists around Delhi's India Gate, who complained that the air pollution in the city is causing breathing difficulties and irritation in eyes.
