The incessant rains in North India have taken a dreadful form. Due to continuous increase in the water level of Yamuna in the country's capital Delhi, the danger of flood has started looming. After 45 years, the water level of Yamuna river has crossed 208 meters.The water level of Yamuna near the old railway bridge in Delhi was recorded at 208.08 meters on Wednesday (July 12) at 11 pm and it is expected to reach 208.30 meters by 8 am on Thursday (July 13). Earlier in 1978, the water level of Yamuna had gone up to 207.49 metres.Flood water has entered the areas along the river in Delhi. Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal called an emergency meeting on Wednesday to deal with the flood situation. Along with this, he has also sought help from the Center.Along with Delhi, the situation is serious due to rain in western Uttar Pradesh, Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Punjab and Haryana. In Himachal Pradesh, the rains have caused havoc. 88 people have lost their lives due to rains in the state, while 16 people are missing and 100 have been injured. Many passengers are stranded in Chandratal of Himachal Pradesh, to evacuate them, State Government Minister Jagat Singh Negi and the administration team have reached there. Kedarnath Yatra was stopped on Wednesday due to heavy rains in Uttarakhand. Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami has advised the devotees to come only after the weather clears up. The Uttarakhand government has also issued a helpline number. 13 districts of Punjab have come under the grip of flood and 479 villages are badly affected. Water is entering the border areas of India after Pakistan's dam broke near the zero line in Ferozepur. On Thursday, a rain alert has been issued in entire Punjab.
उत्तर भारत में लगातार हो रही बारिश ने विकराल रूप धर लिया है. देश की राजधानी दिल्ली में यमुना का जलस्तर लगादार बढ़ने से बाढ़ का खतरा मंडराने लगा है. 45 साल बाद यमुना नदी का जलस्तर 208 मीटर के पार पहुंच गया है. बुधवार (12 जुलाई) रात 11 बजे दिल्ली में पुराने रेलवे पुल के पास यमुना का जलस्तर 208.08 मीटर रिकॉर्ड किया गया और गुरुवार (13 जुलाई) की सुबह 8 बजे तक इसके 208.30 मीटर पहुंचने की संभावना है. इसके पहले 1978 में यमुना का जलस्तर 207.49 मीटर तक गया था.दिल्ली में नदी के किनारे वाले इलाकों में बाढ़ का पानी घुस गया है. मुख्यमंत्री अरविंद केजरीवाल ने बुधवार को बाढ़ की स्थिति से निपटने के लिए आपात बैठक बुलाई. इसके साथ ही उन्होंने केंद्र से मदद भी मांगी है.
