For the second day, Tamil Nadu's Covid daily surge in infections was less than 2,000 cases on Saturday after nearly five months. In July, the daily rise in cases had breached the 6,900-mark. The state's Health Secretary Dr J Radhakrishnan talked to NDTV about the "multipronged approach adopted by the health department including aggressive testing, fever clinics and sticking to RT-PCR testing" besides the challenges ahead.
