Hundreds of people took to the streets on Wednesday in a public display of anger over economic conditions in the country to protest against the perceived failure of the government to cushion the effects of inflation.
Sierra Leone’s President Julius Mada Bio has promised to punish those responsible for deadly protests in recent days. At least 27 people were killed, including six policemen.

Al Jazeera's Ahmed Idris reports from Freetown, Sierra Leone.
