At least 6,546 Palestinians have been killed in Israeli attacks on the Gaza Strip, while more than 1,400 people have been killed in Israel since October 7.
Funerals have been held for the family members of Al Jazeera correspondent Wael Dahdouh who were killed in an Israeli air attack in central Gaza on Wednesday night.
Emergency services barely have the equipment to rescue people trapped under the rubble of the destroyed buildings.
Authorities say around 800 children are among those under the debris. Many bodies also remain unidentified.
Family members are scattered across Gaza, with many unaware that their loved ones have been killed in Israeli attacks.
Communication has been disrupted, making it difficult to reach anyone. Families are also choosing to disperse, hoping to reduce the risk of all of them perishing in a single strike.

Al Jazeera's Hani Abu Isheba joins us live from Khan Younis in southern Gaza to discuss the latest updates.
