Dramatic dashcam footage captured the shocking moment when an Oklahoma Highway Patrol officer was wildly thrown into a field during a routine traffic stop.

A car struck the vehicle he was standing beside, knocking the officer back.

Oklahoma Highway Patrol said Trooper Jesse Gregory is expected to be okay, and all who were involved in the incident were treated and released.

Officials say they shared the video as a graphic reminder of the possibilities and consequences of distracted/impaired driving.
