Experts are warning that Canada's health-care system needs to adopt better security practices to prevent cyberattacks, including data breaches and ransomware, which are becoming increasingly common in the country.
This comes after five hospitals in Ontario were targeted by ransomware attacks last month.
Although the health-care system has seen some practitioners move to virtual care and newer technologies being used in medical devices, experts say that security practices need to be constantly updated and improved.
