PV Sindhu Gold Medal Women's Singles Badminton CWG 2022: कॉमनवेल्थ गेम्स 2022 के आखिरी दिन भारत की स्टार शटलर पीवी सिंधु ने शानदार प्रदर्शन करते हुए गोल्ड मेडल जीत लिया. उन्होंने बैडमिंटन विमेन्स के सिंगल्स मुकाबले में कनाडा की मिशेली ली को हराकर गोल्ड पर कब्जा किया. सिंधु ने इससे पहले सेमीफाइनल मैच में भी शानदार प्रदर्शन किया था. उन्होंने इसे बरकरार रखा और गोल्ड अपने नाम किया. भारत के लिए कॉमनवेल्थ गेम्स 2022 में यह 19वां गोल्ड मेडल है.

सिंधु ने फाइनल मैच में कनाडा की शटलर मिशेल ली को 2-0 से हराया. इस जीत के साथ ही उन्होंने गोल्ड मेडल अपने नाम कर लिया. सिंधु ने फाइनल के पहले गेम से ही बढ़त बना ली थी. उन्होंने शानदार शुरुआत करते हुए पहला गेम 21-15 से जीत लिया. इसके बाद वे दूसरे गेम में भी बढ़त के साथ खेल रही थीं. लेकिन इस बीच मिशेल भी बढ़त के प्रयास में थीं, हालांकि वे सफल नहीं हो सकीं. सिंधु ने दूसरा गेम भी जीत लिया. उन्होंने इसमें 21-13 से जीत दर्ज की.

गौरतलब है कि यह भारत का बैडमिंटन में पहला गोल्ड मेडल है. टीम इंडिया अब 19 गोल्ड मेडल्स के साथ टैली में चौथे स्थान पर पहुंच गई हैं. भारत ने गोल्ड के साथ-साथ 15 सिल्वर और 22 ब्रॉन्ज मेडल भी जीते हैं. अब भारत के पास कुल 56 मेडल हो गए हैं. इस मामले में कनाडा तीसरे स्थान पर है. कनाडा के पास 26 गोल्ड मेडल हैं. जबकि ऑस्ट्रेलिया 66 गोल्ड मेडल्स के साथ पहले स्थान पर है.
