Cuba has lifted a ban on small and medium-sized private businesses, as the Communist state gradually loosens its grip on the economy after last month's widespread protests.
The coronavirus pandemic has badly affected its ailing economy, already weakened by US sanctions.
The new laws allow businesses with up to 100 workers to operate.
