"Crude oil price peaked at around 120 (USD) a barrel a few days ago, now they're actually going down. When oil prices were going up, the government did not raise fuel prices due to political reasons. In the last 9 days, petrol and diesel prices are now suddenly high," says Tamil Nadu Finance Minister P Thiagarajan in an exclusive interview to NDTV, on the government's argument that fuel prices are rising due to a global rise in crude oil prices.
