More than a dozen cows ran wild in Santa Cruz, Bolivia on June 9, leaving at least four people injured, according to reports.

A total of 17 cows were successfully captured some hours after they began running through the city, according to Bolivian media.

Santa Cruz Mayor Jhonny Fernandez called the cows "a danger to life" during a press conference.

"There have been people who have been injured. This is a danger to life, and for commuters and everyone who is in the center of the city at this time. You can see these animals are not at ease and can attack anyone," he said/

The original source of the running Bolivian cows remains unknown.

No deaths have been reported.
